Before X After LLC – Refund, Shipping & Handling Policy

Before X After LLC (“Before X After,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides museum-grade packaging, storage, and logistics services for fine art and collectibles. This Policy explains our procedures for service initiation, payments, cancellations, shipping, and delivery for both domestic U.S. and international clients.

1. Service Commencement and Deposits

Work begins (“Service Commencement”) once the client has signed the Handling Authorization Form and made the required deposit. A 50% non-refundable deposit confirms booking, with the remaining balance due prior to delivery or release. Once packaging, photography, or cataloging has begun, related fees are non-refundable.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

Clients may cancel scheduled services with written notice at least 72 hours before Service Commencement. Deposits for confirmed bookings are non-refundable. Refunds for prepaid but unperformed services are processed within seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days after approval. Special-order materials or third-party costs incurred prior to cancellation are non-refundable.

3. Shipping and Handling

We use professional packing materials and logistics partners for local, domestic, and international shipments. Clients are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and maintaining insurance coverage for the full value of shipped items. Shipping dates and delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed. We are not liable for carrier delays, customs holds, or damages while in transit under third-party custody.

4. Inspection and Claims

Clients must inspect items immediately upon receipt or collection. Any visible loss or damage must be reported in writing within three (3) to seven (7) business days of delivery; otherwise, the shipment is deemed accepted in good condition. Supporting photographs and documentation may be required.

5. International Shipping

Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are the client’s responsibility. We provide documentation to assist with customs clearance but cannot influence governmental processes or delays. All international shipments travel at the client’s sole risk.

6. Unpaid or Abandoned Items

Items with unpaid balances after 180 days of invoice due date are deemed abandoned. We may dispose of or sell such property to recover storage and service costs, following reasonable written notice to the client.

7. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

Services are provided using professional standards and reasonable care, without express or implied warranties (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). Our total liability shall not exceed the lesser of the amount paid for the applicable service or $5,000.
